
Jackie Tong

Jackie Tong is the owner of The Travelling Hygienist. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2018 with a degree in Dental Sciences. During her education, she volunteered with many different associations that exposed her to vulnerable populations in both urban and rural settings. She became passionate about improving access to oral health care for all marginalized communities, leading her to freelance write articles for a dentistry magazine, to work with UBC as an instructor for community clinics, and to create this independent practice.
In her free time, Jackie can be found road cycling, hiking, and camping. She loves the outdoors and is always looking for an adventure.

Wendy Slater is a Certified Dental Assistant,
and is our office manager!
She started working in dentistry in 2005 and over the past 18 years, Wendy has worked in all aspects of dentistry and loves taking care of patients and helping them with their dental health.
She is happy to help with all of your questions whether it’s clinical or paperwork related.
In her spare time, Wendy loves to travel, run, and sew. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two young daughters, and dog, George.

Manroop Ferraro
RDH (C)
Manroop Ferraro is a Registered Dental Hygienist (C) with over 15 years of experience. She is passionate about helping people achieve and maintain optimal oral health.
A year ago, she and her family made the move to the beautiful Kootenays, where they have been embracing the stunning natural surroundings.
When Manroop is not working, you can find her enjoying time with her husband, their two kids, and their playful dog, Buster. They love exploring the outdoors, travelling to new places, and experimenting in the kitchen
with new recipes.

Kaila Tuuri is a Dental Hygiene Practitioner (C) who mainly covers the Okanagan, but travels all throughout BC as well!

Kaila became a dental hygienist in 2015 when she graduated with a diploma from Vancouver Community College. While working full time in clinical practice, she pursued her degree from the University of British Columbia and graduated alongside Jackie in 2018 to be come a dental hygiene practitioner.
In the past 10 years, Kaila continued to work in clinical practice. Most recently, she travelled into smaller remote indigenous communities in Northern Alberta to work in health centers and within the school system with the Children's Oral Health Initiative.
Kaila loves being a mobile hygienist and providing quality, informative, and comfortable care for all populations, regardless of location, demographic, or age group.

In her spare time, she loves travelling with her husband, immersing herself in her garden, and staying active in her community of Kamloops.

Andrea Noel

Andrea Noel has been in the dental world for over two decades, and she is still passionate about helping people feel great about their smiles. As a mobile hygienist, she has been travelling across the Kootenays for the past 15+ years, providing compassionate, professional care wherever it's needed most—
from long-term care to living rooms.
She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2009 with a degree in Dental Sciences, but her greatest education might come from raising three energetic daughters.
When she's not cleaning teeth, you'll find her enjoying the small town magic of Thrums, cheering from the sidelines, or soaking in the beauty of the outdoors.

Michelle Camarda is a dedicated Dental Hygiene Practitioner (C) with a passion for promoting oral health and overall well-being. She is a proud graduate from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Dental Sciences.

Michelle is passionate about making a difference in underserved populations while forming meaningful connections. Over the course of her education, she was given the opportunity to serve several communities. In her commitment to making a positive impact, she received a community service award, affirming her purpose in the dental field. Michelle brings a strong academic foundation with an empathetic and compassionate approach to every patient interaction.

Outside of work, Michelle thrives on adventure and new experiences. She has a love for exploring the outdoors, travelling the world, meeting new people, and culinary arts. Her positivity reflects in both her personal adventures and professional growth.
